MJ Mwen ka étidié anglé. E wou, kisa ou ka fè ? I study English. And you, what do you do?
D Man ké fini fè létid an fen lanné-a. Mwen ké fè marketing apré sa. I’ll finish my studies at the end of the year. I’ll then go into marketing.
MJ E Matinik, ki koté ou ka rété ? And in Martinique, where do you live?
D Mwen ka rété Fodfwans, lari des Arawaks, bò Fò Sen-Lwi. I live in Fort-de-France in Arawaks street,  near the Saint-Louis Fortress.
MJ An-han, bò restoran-an ? Oh yes, near to the restaurant ?
D Sé sa mem. Nou ka rété adan batiman-an ki jiskont anfas, bò leskalié-a. That’s it. We live in the building just opposite, next to the stairs.
MJ Mi bel batiman ! Ou ka viv la tou sel ? What a beautiful building! Do you live all alone?
D An-an, man ka rété la épi Féliks, Charlot, Karmèn épi Sébastiàn. No, I live there with Félix, Charlotte, Carmen and Sebastian.
MJ A ! Zot ka viv a senk ! Fè kous, fè lavésel, lavé rad, nétwayé kay-la… Ah … you’re five. Doing the shopping, the dishes, washing the clothes, cleaning the house…
